On July 30th, we had our 2nd annual Business Conference. There were tons of guest speakers with information on everything, from certifications to getting involved in the foreign exchange market. Speakers, such as Mark Ress, Robyn Mancell, Karla Gonzalez, and many more joined us in sharing their expertise in their respective fields.
Karla, who works with the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center, shared tons of great information on certifications and how it is important to plan accordingly. She even mentioned that some certifications are easier to get and can be completed on your free time!
During the conference, there was also a motivational moment with Darrell Frye. Darrell shared the Lighthouse Stories’ 5 STEPS to connect with Powerhouses! It was both informative and inspiring!
Overall, the business conference was a great day, filled with tons of valuable information and speakers eager to give insight to all the participants.
August 3rd Mixer
Our First Fridays mixer on August 3rd had an amazing turnout! There were lots of new faces and it was a great networking opportunity. During the mixer, we even plaqued one of our new members, Paulette Gray.

At the business conference, Lisa Hamilton with the IRS, answered many great questions about taxes and gave some tips for businesses when filing their taxes. One of the resources for people to utilize is the IRS Withholding Calculator.

There will be Business to Business collaboration, IHeart Radio/Media Marketing tips, Salsa dancing practice tip, FOOD and more!!! The BEST part is all $10 donations will go to Education! Network, have fun and give back at the beautiful Mission Inn Hotel & Spa hosted by New York Life.
